Bathroom Day

Moving forward on the living room walls requires me to get all the stuff out of there.  Many of these items were bathroom fixtures that had patiently waited months to come out of their boxes.  Saturday was that day.

The new vanity, sink, toilet, and mirror were installed; very exciting to finally see this room coming to life.  The result was everything I was striving for; a more modern, open, yellow-free bathroom.

Before and After:

The baseboards have since been fully installed, and the bathroom is very close to completion.  Looking forward to doing more this weekend, but for now….

GO CATS.

  1. The bathroom may be the smallest room, but the impact was huge. The room looks GREAT! We went from a room that caused me to say “good God” to one that made me say “Wow”. I remember walking away from Kyle and his Mom in the tile section at Menard’s months ago while they “discussed” Kyle’s vision for his bathroom. 3 strong personalities was taking us nowhere. Admittedly, I more than once reminded myself, “It’s his house” or “It’s just paint and tile”. Sure, there was some give and take on some structural items, but Kyle knew the look that he wanted and the final product is tremendous. Good job Kyle.

I mentioned Menard’s earlier. The store in Evendale is man nirvana. It should be called MANard’s. It is absolutely gargantuan, well stocked, well lit with wide aisles, and very organized. I told Patty if they had a bar with a big screen TV, that I may never come home.

They recently announced they are building a “MANard’s” on Houston road in Florence. Adios Home Depot, it has been great.

  2. SURE DOES LOOK GREAT KYLE ! ADD A GREAT TILE MAN AND FIXTURE INSTALLER TO YOUR VISION AND WALL WORK AND WHAM!!!, THE TRANSFORMATION IS COMPLETE. WILL INSPECT TODAY I’M THINKING. EVEN TOUGH OLE DAD IS IMPRESSED I SEE. 1 ROOM TO GO AND YOU CAN HAVE AN OPEN HOUSE, INCLUDING THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOLKS MAYBE AND GET THEM OFF YOUR BACK AND MINE….
